2026-2027 St. Lawrence Lightning Coaches

The St. Lawrence Lightning Basketball Club is excited to announce our Head Coaches for the upcoming season:

• JUEL - Isadora “Izzy” Sousa

• JUEL Prep - Campbell MacInnis

Originally from Brazil, Izzy brings an outstanding basketball background to the Lightning program. She played within the Brazilian national team program before being recruited to Arizona State University, where she competed at the NCAA Division I level.

Now part of the Kingston basketball community, Izzy coached the Kingston Impact U19 Girls team last season, leading them to a 4th place finish in Division 1.

Izzy brings high-level playing experience, strong leadership, and a passion for developing athletes to the St. Lawrence Lightning. We are excited to see the impact she will have on our athletes and the continued growth of high-performance girls basketball in our region.

Campbell brings a strong connection to the Kingston basketball community and the Lightning program. She played with Kingston Impact from U12 through U19 and was an OFSAA Gold Medalist at Frontenac Secondary School.

Campbell continued her basketball journey at Brock University, where she worked as Manager of the Brock Women’s Basketball Team, before beginning her coaching career in the Niagara basketball community.

Last season, Campbell served as an assistant coach with the St. Lawrence Lightning JUEL Prep team, helping guide the group to a 3rd place finish in the regular season and a 5th place finish at the championship tournament.

Campbell brings program familiarity, strong leadership, and a passion for athlete development to this role. We are excited to see her continue to help build the JUEL Prep pathway and support the growth of high-performance girls basketball in our region.
