Now Accepting Applications for 2026–27 JUEL and JUEL Prep Head Coaches

The St. Lawrence Lightning Basketball Club is now accepting applications for the Head Coach positions for our 2026–27 JUEL and JUEL Prep programs.

These volunteer coaching roles are important leadership positions within our club and will help guide high-performance female athletes through the next stage of their basketball development. The successful candidates will be responsible for leading their respective teams, establishing a positive and competitive team culture, supporting athlete development, and helping prepare players to compete at the JUEL and JUEL Prep levels.

How to Apply

Interested candidates should submit an expression of interest by email to:

Each submission should include:

• A brief statement of interest

• A summary of relevant coaching qualifications and experience

• Current NCCP/Canada Basketball certification status, including NCCP number

• Preferred assistant coach or assistant coaches, if applicable

• Any additional information the candidate would like the Selection Committee to consider

Applications must be received by Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Screening and Compliance Requirements

Successful candidates will be required to complete all screening and compliance requirements before participating in any team activities. This includes providing a current Vulnerable Sector Screening, completing an approved Safe Sport certification, meeting applicable NCCP/Canada Basketball certification expectations, and complying with St. Lawrence Lightning policies, codes of conduct, and athlete safety expectations.

Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed by a Selection Committee established for the JUEL and JUEL Prep Head Coach positions. The committee will assess candidates based on the approved Head Coach Job Description and the overall best interests of the St. Lawrence Lightning program and its athletes.

The Selection Committee may request additional information or conduct interviews as part of its review. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final.
