The St. Lawrence Lightning Basketball Club is excited to launch our 2026–27 Sponsorship Program, offering local businesses and community partners an opportunity to support high-performance girls' basketball in the Kingston–Brockville region.

Our program brings together dedicated young athletes who are committed to developing their basketball skills, competing at a high level, and pursuing opportunities to continue playing beyond high school.

Participation in high-performance basketball comes with significant expenses, including gym rentals, league fees, tournament travel, uniforms, equipment, and player development resources. These costs can place a considerable financial burden on families.

Our sponsorship program helps make these opportunities more affordable while providing meaningful recognition for the businesses that support our athletes.

How Sponsorship Funds Make a Difference

Our goal is to reduce the financial burden on Lightning families while continuing to provide a high-quality basketball experience.

Sponsorship funding can help in two important ways:

1. Reducing Player Fees

The most direct benefit of sponsorship is helping offset the fees families pay to participate. By reducing these costs, we can make high-performance basketball more accessible and allow families to focus on supporting their athletes.

2. Investing in Shared Player Development Resources

Sponsorship support can also help fund resources that benefit multiple athletes and teams, reducing costs that might otherwise be passed along to families.

For example, one area where the Lightning would like to invest is video recording equipment for games and practices.

Video analysis is becoming an increasingly important part of athlete development. Having dedicated equipment would allow our coaches to:

• Record games and practices for review and analysis.

• Help athletes better understand their decision-making, positioning, and execution.

• Support individual player development through video feedback.

• Provide useful game footage for athletes pursuing post-secondary basketball opportunities.

Investments like these can improve the experience for our athletes while creating shared resources that benefit the program over multiple seasons.

2026–27 Sponsorship Opportunities

We offer two sponsorship levels, providing businesses with opportunities to support our athletes while receiving recognition throughout the basketball season.

$1,000 Gold – Team Sponsor

Team Sponsorships provide support for an entire Lightning team while offering businesses increased visibility throughout the season.

Team Sponsors receive:

• Website Recognition: Your business logo displayed on the sponsored team's webpage.

• Social Media Recognition: A dedicated sponsor acknowledgment at both the beginning and end of the season.

• Team Apparel Recognition: Your business logo displayed on team warmup apparel.

• Special Thank You: A personalized appreciation gift from the sponsored team.

This sponsorship level is ideal for businesses looking to establish a strong connection with a local team and demonstrate their commitment to youth sport.

$500 Silver – Player Sponsor

Player Sponsorships provide businesses, families, and community supporters with an opportunity to support an individual Lightning athlete.

Player Sponsors receive:

• Website Recognition: Your business logo displayed on the athlete's team webpage.

• Social Media Recognition: One sponsor acknowledgment through our social media channels.

• Special Thank You: A personalized appreciation gift from the sponsored player.

This option is ideal for businesses that want to make a meaningful contribution while developing a personal connection with an athlete and their basketball journey.
