This decision highlights our commitment to fostering talent and pursuing excellence within our organization. We are pleased to introduce two highly qualified individuals to lead our teams through a very demanding and competitive season.
JUEL (U19) - Randy Douglas
JUEL Prep (U16) - Jason Reynolds
We understand the importance of having a strong support system for our players, which is why we are currently in the process of finalizing our assistant coaches. These individuals will play a crucial role in the development of our teams and will be announced following tryouts in mid-August.
We are dedicated to ensuring that our coaching staff is not only experienced but also aligned with our values and mission, providing the best possible experience for our athletes. Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the start of what promises to be an exciting 2025-26 season for the St. Lawrence Lightning.
JUEL (U19) - Randy Douglas

Randy has led the Lightning's JUEL Prep team for the past two seasons, achieving notable successes including:
Silver medal in 2024
5th place finish in 2025
In addition to his work with the Lightning, Randy has also had considerable success with other Brockville area teams, coaching the two-time OFSAA "A" silver medalists from Ange Gabriel Catholic Academy and also lead a U15 Brockville Blazers Girls team to a U16 OBLX Championship in 2023.
JUEL Prep (U16) - Jason Reynolds

After leading the region's JUEL program (previously known as Kingston Impact) since 2019, Jason has returned to the Prep program, where he initially began with JUEL in 2015.
Throughout his tenure with both the JUEL and JUEL Prep programs, Jason has coached 18 athletes who advanced to play basketball at the post-secondary level.
Prior to getting involved with JUEL, Jason began his coaching career in 1997 with the Lennox & Addington Guardsmen. He co-founded the original regional Eastern Elite program with Chris Oliver (Basketball Immersion) in 2001, which later merged with the Kingston Impact in 2007.
Initially coaching on the boys side, Jason transitioned to coaching girls in 2007, leading the La Salle S.S. Senior Girls to 11 "AA" OFSAA appearances in 13 years, earning bronze medals in 2009 and 2017.
