The St. Lawrence Lightning are proud to announce the athletes selected to our 2026 Spring Development Program.
We were thrilled to see nearly 70 athletes participate across two Talent ID sessions in February and March - an increase from last year's strong turnout of 55. The level of interest, effort, and competitiveness on display is a testament to the continued growth of girls' basketball across our region.
Our Spring Development Program is designed to bring together top athletes from across Eastern Ontario for an intensive 32 hours of training and competition. Through this environment, athletes are challenged to compete, adapt, and grow alongside their peers as they prepare for the upcoming season. While many of these athletes will go on to represent the Lightning in future seasons, our broader goal remains the long-term development of each player and the continued strengthening of basketball in our community.
We would like to sincerely thank all athletes and families who attended our Talent ID sessions. The commitment and enthusiasm shown made the evaluation process both exciting and extremely competitive. We encourage all athletes to continue their development and look forward to seeing them on the court again soon.
